Beyond Identity has released the findings of new industry research that indicates most cloud professionals remain overly attached to passwords despite their inherent security vulnerabilities and the widespread frustrations around password hygiene requirements. 

Living with passwords: 60 percent of respondents to Beyond Identity's recent study find it frustrating having to remember multiple ones. Despite their security vulnerabilities, they remain popular with professionals.

By using passwordless MFA, organizations can enforce Zero Trust security principles that ensure only authorized users and devices that are known, approved, and meet all necessary security requirements can actually log in. All credential-based attacks are blocked.

While multi-factor authentication (MFA) is considered good security, the dependence of organisations on traditional MFA puts them at risk.

Traditional password-based multi-factor authentication now presents a very low hurdle for attackers. An authentication process that is both phishing-resistant and passwordless is therefore a key component of a Zero Trust framework.
