Beyond Identity, Inc. ("Beyond Identity," "we," "our," and/or "us") values the privacy of individuals who use our application and websites and otherwise interact with us online (collectively, our "Services"). This privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") explains how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process personal information.

Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • External Stakeholders: Customers, prospective customers, website visitors, and other individuals who interact with our Services
  • Business Customer End Users: Individuals who access our Services through our business customers' implementations

Scope of Services

Our Services are designed for businesses and their representatives. We do not target consumers seeking to use our products and services for personal or household purposes. Accordingly, we treat all personal information collected in connection with the Services as pertaining to individuals in their business capacity.

What This Policy Does Not Cover

This Privacy Policy does not apply to:

  • Websites, applications, or online services that do not link to this policy
  • Applications provided by our business customers that users access using the Services ("Corporate Applications")
  • Our business customers' subsequent use of personal information we share with them
  • Internal stakeholder data (employees and candidates), which is governed by our separate Employee Privacy Notice

2. Privacy Governance and Oversight

Beyond Identity maintains a comprehensive privacy program overseen by our Chief Privacy Officer (CPO), who is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the organization's data privacy policies and practices
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations, including CBPR Global requirements
  • Coordinating privacy impact assessments and risk management
  • Serving as the point of contact for privacy-related inquiries and concerns

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Contact Information

We may receive your name, email address, and phone number when you provide it to us directly or from a third party, including our business customers.

3.2 Account Information

When you create an account or are enrolled in Beyond Identity's services, we collect information associated with your account, including:

  • Display name and username
  • Email address and account credentials (such as passkeys and cryptographic key metadata)
  • External identifiers from single sign-on (SSO) providers
  • Account status and group memberships This information is necessary to create and manage your identity, enable authentication, and deliver our services.

3.3 Feedback and Communications

If you communicate with us or leave feedback about the Services, we collect the contents of your message or attachments, and other information you choose to provide.

3.4 Device Information

We receive information about the device and software you use to access our Services, including:

  • IP address
  • Web browser type and operating system version
  • Phone carrier and manufacturer
  • Network settings and security protections enabled
  • Application installations
  • Device identifiers and mobile advertising identifiers
  • Push notification tokens

3.5 Usage Information

To operate, understand, and improve our Services, we automatically collect information about your interactions, including:

  • Log information detailing access attempts to Corporate Application
  • Pages or content you view
  • Searches you conduct
  • Dates and times of your visits

3.6 Information from Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and third-party partners collect information using cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files containing alphanumeric characters stored on your device.

  • Session cookies disappear after you close your browser
  • Persistent cookies remain and may be used on subsequent visits

3.7 Information We Receive From Third Parties

We may receive personal information about you from third-party sources in connection with our business development and marketing activities. This includes:

  • Business contact information such as name, business email address, phone number, job title, and company name — received from data providers, lead generation publishers, and data enrichment services
  • Campaign engagement data such as content downloads, webinar registrations, and video watch time — received from lead generation publishers and content syndication partners
  • Intent signals such as pricing page visits and content consumption patterns — received from intent data providers
  • Technology stack information about the technologies used by prospective customers' organizations — received from enrichment services
  • Feedback and communications provided through third-party platforms, surveys, or partner channels
  • Usage data about how our services or content are accessed through third-party integrations or partner platforms 

We conduct due diligence on all third-party data sources to verify that personal information was collected lawfully and that individuals were informed of potential disclosure to third parties. We honor opt-out requests and maintain "do not contact" filters for individuals who do not wish to be contacted.

4. How We Use Your Information

4.1 To Operate the Services

  • Authenticate your device and enable access to Corporate Applications
  • Contact you and authorized individuals in case of system events
  • Provide, maintain, improve, and enhance our Services
  • Communicate updates and information relating to our Services (including via text message or push notification, with your consent)
  • Respond to your requests, comments, and questions

4.2 For Research and Development

  • Understand and analyze how you use our Services
  • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality

4.3 For Marketing and Advertising

  • Develop and provide promotional and advertising materials that may be relevant or of interest to you

4.4 For Compliance, Fraud Prevention, and Safety

  • Protect our, your, or others' rights, privacy, safety, or property
  • Enforce our Terms of Service or other legal rights
  • Protect against and investigate fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, or illegal activity
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes

4.5 For Other Purposes

We may use information for other purposes for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection.

5. How We Share Your Information

5.1 With Business Customers

We share information (such as device access logs) with business customers to the extent it pertains to their authorized end users. Our customers maintain their own privacy policies governing their use of such information.

5.2 With Vendors and Service Providers

We share information with vendors retained in connection with our Services (such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, marketing, and database management). These third parties may only use your information as directed by us and consistent with this Privacy Policy.

5.3 As Required by Law

We may disclose information for compliance, fraud prevention, and safety purposes, or as required by applicable law or legal process.

5.4 In Connection with Business Transfers

We may transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction.

6.1 Marketing Communications

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails via the link provided in our emails. You will continue to receive administrative messages.

6.3 Access, Correction, and Deletion

Depending on your jurisdiction and relationship with Beyond Identity, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you

  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to applicable legal retention requirements
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format
  • Opt-Out: Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Objection/Restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities

How to Submit a Request

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Team at privacy@beyondidentity.com. Please describe the nature of your request and include sufficient information for us to locate your records.

How We Process Your Request

When you submit a privacy request, we will acknowledge receipt within two business days. To protect your personal information, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request. Verification methods are proportionate to the sensitivity of the information and the nature of your relationship with Beyond Identity. If we need additional information to verify your identity, we will contact you promptly.

We will respond to verified requests within 30 days. If we require additional time due to the complexity of your request or the volume of information involved, we will notify you before the original deadline and provide a revised expected completion date.

If we are unable to fulfill your request, we will provide an explanation and information about how to escalate your concern to our Chief Privacy Officer.

6.4 Do Not Track

We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable physical and electronic safeguards designed to protect the security of your information. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

We are located in the United States and have service providers in other countries. Your personal information may be transferred to the United States or other locations where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Beyond Identity participates in the CBPR Global certification program, demonstrating our commitment to cross-border privacy protection and accountability.

9. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 13 years of age. No part of our Services is directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@beyondidentity.com.

10. Third-Party Links

Our Services may contain links to websites, products, or services we do not own or operate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
